Australia's only operating diamond mine is situated in the renowned Ellendale Diamond Field. It boasts a preliminary resource target estimate (non-JORC) of 1.3 million carats, located within the mining lease (M04/473) in the southeast of the India Bore Diamond Holding tenements. The geological team has confirmed that alluvial diamonds, including the sought-after Fancy Yellow diamonds, from the tops of the rich lamproite pipes were transported south. An impressive 60 meters of the high-grade tops of these lamproites have been eroded. The current alluvial gravel resources extend over a distance of 25 kilometers from the now-closed E9 mine in the north to the area south of the closed E4 mine. The project has secured granted mining leases and exploration licenses, and a Native Title Agreement has been signed. Approval is in place to mine 2 million tonnes per year, and it has been recognized by the Western Australia State Government as a “Major Mining and Resource Development Project.” The necessary mining infrastructure is already established to ensure the continuation of mining and diamond recovery.
